The Loser

Mama said I loose my head
if it wasn't fastened on.
Today I guess it
wasn't
'cause while playing with my cousin
it fell off and rolled
away
and now it's gone.
if it wasn't fastened on.
Today I guess it
wasn't
'cause while playing with my cousin
it fell off and rolled
away
and now it's gone.
The poem I chose to write an analysis about is "The Loser". The loser is a short poem that has a theme. The theme of "The Loser" is keep track of your things or you may never find them again. You can see this theme because the person (as the poem is not gender specific) is playing with his cousin and his head just rolls off of his head. This clearly is a hyperbole but it also makes the reader think the person looses a lot of things. This could also teach the reader to keep track of their things.
